Sattahip residents united to grieve and pray for Thailand’s beloved late king.

Tassanee Khunkorn, abbot of Sattahip Temple, led the Oct. 14 ceremony with District Chief Noraset Sritapatso, which was attended by hundreds of residents, navy personnel, police and students, who offered their final wishes and prayers for HM King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

Noraset told the black-clad, sobbing crowd that the district is shocked by the passing of the monarch and offers its wishes for the Royal Bathing Rite held at the Grand Palace Oct. 14.
