Samut Sakhon group studies Pattaya anti-drug program

A Samut Sakhon sub-district visited Pattaya to study the Soi Kophai Community’s award-winning anti-drug program.

People from Samut Sakhon sub-district Omnoy Municipality visited the Soi Kophai Community’s award-winning anti-drug program where they were also taught how to make soap, cleaning fluids and other items that can be sold for extra income.

Omnoy Municipality’s Kilsadda Porhomsaka led the 80-person junket to the Eastern Seaboard Dec. 7 with the broad mission goal of studying community management.

Community Secretary Kanthana Pornchai welcomed the group and outlined Soi Kophai’s “white community” anti-drug campaign which has won awards at the national level for its effectiveness.

The visitors also were shown how to cultivate organic vegetables, create soap, cleaning fluids and other items that can be sold for extra income.

The group members said they learned a lot and will use that knowledge to support their neighbors in Omnoy and surrounding areas.
