According to Dr Arnada Nirantaraikul, Director of Royal Park Rajapruek, the park is scheduled to conduct commemorative activities for the 82nd birthday anniversary of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit this August 12. Executives and personnel of various agencies, both public and private, will join in a ceremony to present floral arrangements to the royal portrait.
There will also be a candle-lighting ceremony to offer blessings to Her Majesty, followed by nine shows of fireworks. The event will take place from 6-8 pm on the day and will be open to public members free of charge.
In the meantime, people are invited to visit the Color in the Rain Festival, which has commenced at Royal Park Rajapreuk and will continue until the end of September. With an aim to stimulate tourism during the green season, the event exhibits up to 21 species of curcuma as well as 24 species of lotuses in the ponds around the Royal Pavilion. A wide range of activities are also featured, including a photo contest.
