Neighborhood President Wirat Joyjinda welcomed Disease Control Department staffers June 22 as they arrived to service owners of pet dogs and cats. The mobile-service van came to the Thappraya Community on June 27 with a return trip planned for June 29.

The experts also advised owners on how to keep their pets cool during the hot season, including bathing them once a week to check for fleas and ticks that may carry rabies.

Owners could also apply to have their dogs spayed or neutered. Staffers provided advice on how to prepare the animals for the procedure, including ensuring the animal does not eat 6-8 hours beforehand.
