Senior citizens and public-sector volunteers joined Pattaya’s mayor and members of the city council in a joint exercise program launched with the inspiration of HM the King.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome opened the March 24 “Exercise for HM the King” event at Banglamung School’s sports field. Activities included hula-hooping for seniors, yoga and traditional dance.
Free blood pressure checks are part of the health promotion.
The day also offered free blood pressure checks, good health practices and the benefits of exercise. Other sports on offer included tai-chi, aerobics and simple stretching.
The sports day is an annual event meant to promote exercise and good health and well as honor HM the King who is now in his 85th year.
