Drills included a real-life leak of a liquid petroleum gas tank of 2,000 cu. meters and a demonstration of one person suffering a broken leg.

Safety procedures were executed by rescuing the injured victim and alerting company executives. Evacuation procedures were demonstrated, as well, before security personnel blocked off the area, preventing people from entering the danger zone until the problem was resolved.

Curtains of water also were sprayed into the air to prevent the leakage from spreading into nearby communities.

Moreover, media members were advised on how to report the news and public-relations staff went through neighborhood notification procedures.

Finally, students from area schools and universities were invited to join an inspection of the “damage” and were told of what went wrong to cause the “leak”.
