Princess Chulabhorn visits people in the eastern region

BANGKOK, 14 August 2014 – Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn yesterday (Aug 13) travelled by helicopter to the eastern region of Thailand to visit local people and observe work of the mobile medical units of the Princess Mother’s Medical Volunteers (PMMV) Foundation. 

The Princess, in her capacity as honorary president of the PMMV Foundation, is visiting Trat, Chanthaburi, Rayong and Chonburi during August 13 to 19, 2014. Her Royal Highness arrived at U-tapao airport of the Royal Thai Navy in Ban Chang District, Rayong, yesterday afternoon. On hand to welcome Her Royal Highness were the Governor of Rayong, the provincial court chief, the commander-in-chief of the Royal Thai Fleet, the commander of the 14th Military Circle, and representatives of provincial government units.

Her Royal Highness Princess Chulabhorn is visiting the region in her capacity as Honorary President of the PMMV Foundation, following in the footsteps of Their Royal Highnesses the late Princess Mother and the late Princess Galyani Vadhana Kromma Luang Naradhiwas Rajanagarindra who had dedicated their time and efforts to promote good medical care and healthy hygiene among people in remote rural areas.
