Pattaya’s Tourist Police sent paddy wagons but came up virtually empty when a raid of South Pattaya’s Bamboo Bar saw 225 bar girls test negative for drugs and officers make only a single arrest for an expired license.

Sudthanom Santikal, the 55-year-old owner of the South Road hangout, was taken into custody when officers determined Bamboo Bar’s permit had expired six months ago. Arriving at 2 a.m., police shut the bar down for the few remaining minutes and it was open for business-as-usual the next night.

Move along now … everyone go home … there’s nothing to see here. Move along now … everyone go home … there’s nothing to see here.

Police swarmed the 286 sq. meter nightclub on claims 200-plus drugged-up prostitutes were plying their trade for foreigners. What police actually determined was that the 225 women they tested were clean for drugs and were let go with no tickets or arrest.
