Police chase ends with injuries

Four people were hurt when a police chase resulted in two motorbikes crashing in South Pattaya.

Police attempted to stop an unidentified underage couple driving a Honda MSX motorbike with no license plate May 2, suspecting them of driving under the influence or having a stolen bike.

Seeing the checkpoint at a Shell gas station on South Road, the driver made an immediate U-turn and police gave chase.

The short, high-speed chase and lasted just 40 meters, when the couple ran into another motorbike driver, causing the MSX to fly back and crash into police officers chasing them. One policeman received scrapes to his leg in the melee.

The injured were taken to Banglamung hospital.

The two were charged with resisting arrest and running from police.
