The premier observed the operation of a flood watch station on Nan River in Phitsanulok. She said the flood situation is controllable. She also commented that leakages in small dams in Chaiyaphum are fixable, while flooded areas will return to normal soon.
As for the move to build the Kaeng Sua Ten Dam across the Yom River, Ms Yingluck stated the government will raise understanding with public members about the project, but for now, authorities will try to divert water from Yom River to Nan River as much as they can to avoid flooding.
The PM also visited Phromphiram District, where residents have been faced with difficulty in traveling after a wooden bridge collapsed. She instructed the provincial governor to help the affected people.
In the afternoon the Prime Minister continued her trip to Bang Rakam District to monitor problems and obstacles to the government’s rice pledging scheme.
