PM urges state officials to work in unison on Civil Servants’ Day

BANGKOK, 1 April 2015 – Prime Minister Gen Prayut Chan-o-cha has given an address to commemorate Civil Servants’ Day 2015, encouraging all civil servants to work in harmony and put the national interest first.

While presiding over a ceremony to present certificates and pins of honor to exemplary civil servants on the occasion of Civil Servants’ Day, which falls on April 1 of every year, Prime Minister Prayut made a speech to the attending state workers, urging them to respect the rule of law, adhere to ethical standards and learn to prioritize their given duties.

The premier specifically emphasized the importance of working together harmoniously without political discrimination as well as placing the public and national interest before one’s own in the effort to bring security, prosperity and sustainability to the nation.

Gen Prayut claimed that his government came into office with no intention to seek personal gains but only to drive the country forward through reforms. Therefore, he asked for the civil servants’ cooperation in realizing such a goal.
