Phitsanulok province warns local residents of flood disaster

PHISANULOK, 5 September 2014  – The Governor of Phitsanulok province has announced disaster warnings in Phrom Phiram, Bang Rakam and Mueang Phitsanulok district, especially to residents who live along the Yom river, Klong Hok Bath, Klong Mem and Old Yom river.

Water from Sukhothai province flooded into Phrom Phiram district today, affecting many subdistricts: Wongkong, Wangwon, Nongkham, Sripirom, Matong, Tubyaichiang and Dongprakam subdistricts. It is expected that Bang Rakam and Mueang Phitsanulok district will feel the impact of the flood on Saturday. Phisanulok province has provided assistance to the victims and urged farmers to collect their crops before flooding hits.
