Pattaya officials welcomed executives from a state-owned Chinese construction company looking to invest in a beach-maintenance project.

Deputy Mayor Poramet Ngampichet and mayoral advisors welcomed Liu Yuyang, manager from China National Complete Engineering Corp. to city all Dec. 24 to discuss investment in construction projects under the government’s Eastern Economic Corridor plan.

He stressed that tourist safety was a priority and said Chinese people need not fear coming to Pattaya. He urged the company to consider investing in a project to keep Pattaya Beach clear of garbage and other projects to improve the shoreline landscaping. (PCPR)
