Pattaya inmates help clean Nongprue school

Thirteen inmates from Pattaya Remand Prison cut grass and cleaned trash at a Nongprue school as part of their community service sentence.

Nongprue Deputy Mayor Pramote Thaptim led a group of social workers, engineers and the 13 prisoners for the school cleanup Jan. 14.

He said the activities conducted were requested by Nongprue Community School. The sub-district called on the prison to send 13 well-behaved inmates to work on the project under the supervision of government employees.

They cut back overgrown brush, removed garbage and cleaned out flood drains. Recyclables were separated for reprocessing.
