THAI Airways has now launched an investigation on the incident that claimed 20 injuries. Thai Airways International TG600 Flight A380 hit turbulence before landing in Hong Kong. According to officials, the captain turned the seat belt sign on but the injured passengers were the slowest to respond. As soon as the plane landed, 20 passengers were right away submitted to hospital. One suffered a broken collarbone, while the others only had minor injuries. Photographs also showed holes in the cabin ceiling that were caused by passengers’ heads during the incident.
After the incident, the THAI Airways International has confirmed that it would take the best care of the injured passengers as they will be compensated and rehabilitated.
Earlier in the same day, Hong Kong Airlines HX762 from Phuket to Hong Kong was also hit by turbulence, with six people reportedly injured.
