BANGKOK, 20 March 2015 – The National Reform Council is scheduled to open a week-long session to deliberate the draft Constitution in April.

President of the NRC Tienchay Kiranant said that, after the Constitution Drafting Committee hands over the completed draft of the charter on April 17, the reform council will convene to deliberate all details during April 20 and 26.

Mr. Tienchay assured that the NRC will be thorough in the deliberation and will allow all members to freely share their opinions while all information and suggestions collected from all public forums will be brought up for review in order to perfect the draft as much as possible.

However, he declined to make any comment about the public referendum of the draft charter, saying if all agree to do so, there must be an amendment to the interim charter to allow such a process to take place.
