Director Kampol Tansajja hosted the merit-making ceremony Jan. 25 for park staff, with elephants offering dried food to 149 monks from Khao Bam Phenboon Temple.

Royal Thai Navy sailors also were ordained there on the occasion in honor of the late monarch.

Kampol said the park wanted to mark the 100-day anniversary as His Majesty had done so much for Thailand during his 70-year reign.
