Pradit Ruangdit, chairman of TJA, and Wisut Khomwatcharapong, chairman of TBJA, submitted a letter to Pol Gen Adul Saengsingkaew, deputy head of the NCPO, after the NCPO set up an information and news committee and another five working committees to follow up on news broadcasts to the public.
The two associations are concerned over the implementation of the order by the newly-established committees as they said the guidelines are still unclear.
The two journalism bodies called for clear regulatory guidelines be laid out, so responsible officials can work in the same direction.
Gen Adul said after receiving the letter himself that the order to set up five working committees to perform the task was to help the information and news committee reduce their workload.
It was part of the integration of state units and working procedures are provided with clear rules for operation, the NCPO deputy chief said.
