No, “NCIS: Pattaya” will not be the next spinoff of the popular U.S. television show, but the American Naval Criminal Investigative Service investigators did meet with Chonburi Immigration and Tourist Division officers to coordinate international crime-fighting efforts.

Pol. Col. Srongpride Sirisuka, head of the Jomtien Beach immigration office, and Pattaya Tourist Police commander Pol. Lt. Col. Piyapong Ensarn met Feb. 22 with Deputy Assistant Secretary for Defense at the US Embassy in Thailand Ed Burke.

Since Immigration has been cracking down on many foreign criminals, this sparked the interest of many foreign embassies in Thailand and this time the U.S. embassy sought out local authorities to exchange experiences on law and justice involving international organized crime.

Chonburi Immigration officials revealed their strategy on tracking suspects and foreign criminals in Pattaya and wired details for the arrests of several motorcycle gang members.

History and background checks of more suspects were also shared during the meeting and monitoring strategies.
