Vice Adm. Chetta Jaipiem and Vice Adm. Sangkorn Pongsiri meet at the Marine Corps headquarters to discuss joint operations in Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phuket, Phang Nga, and Narathiwat.

The newly appointed head of the Royal Thai Navy’s Security Coordination Office and Internal Security Operation Command met with the commander of the Marine Corps to coordinate security plans for eastern coastal provinces.

Vice Adm. Chetta Jaipiem visited Vice Adm. Sangkorn Pongsiri at the Marine Corps headquarters Nov. 7 to discuss joint operations in Rayong, Chanthaburi, Trat, Phuket, Phang Nga, and Narathiwat.

Those regions fall under the jurisdiction of the Marine Corps, so coordination and cooperation is needed to achieve success in missions, Chetta said.

Coordination with public organizations, government departments and the navy is required to be able to achieve missions without obstacles. He stressed that the military must be prepared at all times, especially to respond to disasters.

It’s thus necessary to integrate forces with all sectors to help people and reduce losses.
