Military police arrested a soap vendor who allegedly filled product boxes with drugs.

Pattama Sang-ngoen, 23, was apprehended Nov. 21 by officers from the Sattahip Naval Base and National Command Center for Drugs.

Naval intelligence director Capt. Niwat Hacharoen said interrogation of naval conscripts arrested on drug charges led investigators to Pattama’s soap stand. Searching her stock, officers found 6,500 methamphetamine tablets packaged inside soap boxes.

Police said Pattama confessed to dealing drugs and noted she’d been arrested several times before on the same charges. She told police she purchased 2,000 ya ba tablets at a time from her brother, who is behind bars in a Trat prison, and kept some for herself and sold off the rest.
