Naval academy honors best cadets, instructors

The Naval Recruit Training Center honored its best cadets and instructors with awards commending test scores, cleanliness, adherence to regulations and teaching performance.

Chief of Staff Capt. Ekachai Sukwanno handed out the honor flags at the Bang Saray center Oct. 2.

Eight cadets received flags for scores on theoretical and practical tests while five were honored for “cleanliness and order.” Eight instructors received flags for outstanding performance.

The instructors honored were Capt. Uthit Amphanthong, Capt. Vicha Pinlom, Petty Officer 1st Class Santhaya Maslerng, Petty Officer 1st Class Chatchawan Charoenwong, Petty Officer 1st Class Daeng Udomsuk, Petty Officer 1st Class Somsuan Phithankjai, Petty Officer 1st Class Raksak Iemopas and Petty Officer 1st Class Shin Chaijan.

Ekachai said the flags served as proof that all students had passed the training to become part of the larger military force with morale and encouragement characterized by valiance, discipline and harmony. Their education was a success, he said, made possible due to cooperation from all teachers, who had dedicated their strength and encouragement to provide satisfactory results deserving of awards.
