NAKHON SAWAN, 10 April 2014 — Nakhon Sawan Province is currently campaigning for road safety in the region in order to prevent and lower road accidents compared to previous years.

Nakhon Sawan Provincial Governor Chairoj Meedaeng presided over the opening ceremony of a campaign intended to lessen road-related accidents during the Songkran period.

The campaign aims to instill awareness and educate the public about the dangers of driving on the roads during the busy public holiday festival, as well as preventative measures that can be carried out to lessen road accidents.

For this year, stricter measures will be enforced to prevent accidents, such as proper zoning for splashing water, restrictions over the use of motorbikes, and also restrictions over alcohol consumption. The objective of the project is to lessen road accidents from previous years and promote safety among the public.
