Nakhon Phanom Governor and Ambassadorial representative from Vietnam lay foundation stone at Ho Chi Minh memorial

NAKHON PHANOM, 28 March 2014The Nakhon Phanom Provincial Governor, and a representative of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam have laid a foundation stone at a Memorial to Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam’s late former President, as a symbol in Thailand, of the Thai-Vietnam relationship.

Mr. Adisak Thepart, Governor of Nakhon Phanom Province, and Mr. Fam Nam Tang, Vietnam’s Charge D’affaires , representing the Ambassador of the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Bangkok, together presided at a ceremony to lay a foundation stone at the Ho Chi Minh Memorial, in the Thai-Vietnam village of Baan Na Chok, Moo 4, Nong Yat subdistrict, Mueang district, Nakhon Phanom province. The laying of the foundation stone comes after Mr. Wian Fu Jong, Secretary-General of the Vietnamese Communist Party donated 30,000 million Dong for construction expenses, during his visit last June, at the invitation of Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra.

The design of the Ho Chi Minh Memorial, consisting of a museum and other buildings is based on Thai traditional architecture.
