Muang Pattana Co., owners and organizers of the Keha Market, gave away 1,000 black shirts to mourners in honor of HM the late King.

General Manager Tachapong Kathiwanith oversaw the Nov. 5 donation at the Thepprasit Market. Hundreds of people lined up for a chance to get a free shirt, which bore a Thai character and text saying the King will live in the hearts of Thai people forever.

In fact, more people queued up than there were shirts available, so some left empty handed.

Tachapong said the company wanted to show thanks that HM the King made Thailand what it is and show gratefulness for being born under the reign of Rama IX.

Although the free 1,000 shirts were not a lot, it was considered a contribution to the public during this mourning period, he added.
