Motorcyclist dies in head-on collison

A Frenchman motorcyclist driving the wrong way on South Pattaya Road collided head-on with another motorbike, killing its 33-year-old driver.

Peerayut Naosukh was pronounced dead in front of the Big Boy furniture store Jan. 15.

Dennis Monnier, 45, and girlfriend Amornrat Satrakom, 38, were injured in the crash. They were treated at the scene by Sawang Boriboon Foundation medics.

Witnesses reported that Monnier had been driving a high-speed against traffic toward the Third Road intersection when he smashed head-on into Peerayut’s bike.
