He had been spotted by a passing taxi who had seen the tail end of the pickup from the road and was amazed to find someone still alive inside the truck.
The driver is eventually cut free from the wreckage.
In time using cutting tools they were able to free the driver 36 year old Boonyiam Pukengmok who was then transferred to Banglamung hospital for treatment
The cause of accident is unclear at this point as there seems to be no other vehicles involved, perhaps the driver was speeding or had fell asleep at the wheel.
