The multipurpose zone of Naklua’s Lan Po Public Park was heavily damaged after city hall allowed cars to park on the unreinforced pavement.
Foreign tourists and locals who exercise in the area complained March 6 that broken cement now poses a safety threat. It also looks tatty, they added.
The 2-rai zone used brick blocks as a surface, but they could not support the weight of cars that were allowed to park there to relieve a shortage of normal spaces.
They want city hall to fix the damaged exercise zone and ban cars from using it as a parking lot.
