Suphansa is released from hospital after receiving treatment for a broken leg.

A Korat woman broke a leg when she fell from an amusement park ride missing any safety equipment at the Pattaya Grand Sale Fair.

Sawang Boriboon Foundation medics were called to the Beach Road carnival Oct. 20 where Suphansa Saengchanchai, 30, had fallen off a fast-moving, revolving ride. She broke a leg and sprained her hip and was transported to Pattaya Memorial Hospital.

Suphansa said she and a friend were riding the “Tagada,” which spins and pivots slowly at first, then gains speed. She was tossed to the ground and her leg hit the moving ride. She complained to police there are normally seat belts in this type of ride, but the local fair’s version was missing any type of restraints.
