Khet Udomsak students get back to nature

About 150 Khet Udomsak students planted coral, released fish and cleaned the beach in a two-day “close conservation” camp at Royal Thai Marine Corps base.

Mayor Piroj Malakul Na Ayudhaya closed the human resources-development workshop organized by the municipality Feb. 6, saying it successfully taught the students from Kanthamat and Lertpunya schools to care about nature.

Piroj said the event received lots of attention from students, teachers and authorities, which helped raise awareness about conserving nature’s resources. The event was well organized and achieved its goals, he added.

The mayor also awarded a “Miss Recycle” prize of 1,000 baht to Tithikarn Naksin, a sixth-grader from Lertpunya School.

The mayor said the students gained lots of benefits from the event and everyone is well satisfied.
