The owner a Sattahip hotel was arrested for operating without a license.
Jitta Thongchuea, 41, was taken into custody July 14 by Sattahip District officials and Plutaluang police following a sting operation at her Ten Resort Hotel.
Authorities allege that Jitta was clandestinely renting 20 rooms at the so-called resort without a hotel license. An undercover informant was sent in to rent a room. Once the 450-baht was exchanged, officers moved in.
The raid is the latest in Sattahip’s crackdown on illegal hotels and guesthouses.
Jitta faces a fine up to 20,000 baht and up to a year in jail.
