ICT launches new application for research paper browsing

BANGKOK, 25th June 2013 The Education Council held an international meeting to promote an exchange of knowledge and innovations among educators prior to the upcoming formation of the AEC. A new application that allows users to browse and read through thousands of research papers on their personal smart phones or tablets was also launched. 

The annual international meeting was held under the topic of “Education for Our Future,” and was attended by heads of educational institutions, international organization representatives, researchers, scholars and related personnel.

Mr.Pongthep Thepkanjana, Deputy Prime Minister and Education Minister said that this meeting was designed to give an opportunity to each sector of the society, both domestic and international, to come together to exchange knowledge and build cooperation to be able to implement education policies on the Asia-Pacific scale.

The meeting also included the 15th national symposium on education research, regional workshops and the global Conference on Educating the Next Generation of Workforce on Asean perspectives regarding innovation, integration and English proficiency improvements.

The new Apple application program named “Re-ED” was also introduced. It can be downloaded as from the 1st August 2013. The “Re-ED” application showcases information and over 1,000, Stat-ED research and Eve-ED.
