Village health volunteers faced off against Pattaya housewives in a variety of fun and games at the Public Health Office’s Friendship Sports Day.

Mayor Anan Charoenchasri opened the March 20 games for 280 residents at Pattaya School No. 8. The event was organized to stress the importance of exercise and playing sports and create closer bonds between village volunteers and the people they help.

The sports were mostly of the fun-and-games variety, such as chairball, tug-of-war, blindfold pot-hitting, eggplant playing, balloon stomping and musical chairs.

In the end, the village health volunteers won the most contests, but everyone appeared to have fun.
