BANGKOK, 15 March 2013 His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej has sent a message of congratulations to China’s new President Xi Jinping on his assumption of the post on 14 March 2013. The message reads:
"I am pleased to extend my sincere congratulations and best wishes for your success and happiness, as well as for the greater progress and prosperity of the People's Republic of China and her people.
I am confident that the close bonds of friendly relations and cooperation between our two countries and peoples will be further strengthened in the years to come."
