German warned against animal abuse

A German man escaped with a warning after allegedly being witnessed abusing a stray dog.

Police arrived at Jomtien Paradise Park Residence around 9:30 p.m. Sept. 5 to find a group of Thais arguing with Harald Hans Fritkor, 50. One alleged that he had seen the German abuse a soi dog the night before.

Residents of a local housing development are up in arms because someone allegedly witnessed a German man spray something into the face of a soi dog. The dog has shown no ill effects, but police allegedly told them the German will be arrested if residents think he does it again.

According to the witness, Fritkor drove into the condominium’s car park on a motorbike, got off, and walk directly over to a well-known local stray and spray it in the face with an aerosol.

A check on the dog revealed no injuries.

A security guard told police he had seen the man abuse dogs before.

Police warned Fritkor he would be arrested if a future report is filed.
