Army personnel stormed the Golden Dragon on Third Road Nov. 26 where three men were standing in front of the three-story building holding betting slips. Five staffers sitting at computer monitors inside were taken into custody next along with about 30 customers, most of them motorcycle taxi drivers.

Soldiers seized betting slips showing wagers for various football leagues, office equipment and 90,000 baht in cash. Manager Yuttana Thoomaneejinda was arrested.

An army official said the same people were arrested in 2013 but relocated to a different location and restarted their illegal business, taking in 10 million baht a month.
