Flood-hit Nong Plalai families get relief

Pattaya-area authorities and local relief agencies distributed aid to 37 Nong Plalai and Huay Yai families hit hard by flooding.

Banglamung Deputy District Chief Chartchai Sriphoon was joined at Kedthip­pattana Village in Nong Plalai May 13 by representatives from local government and the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation Pattaya and Banglamung Red Cross to hand out bags of dried food, rice and basic necessities.

A total of 87 bags were given to 12 families in Kedthip Village, 25 at Charknok Community in Huay Yai.

The aid became necessary after heavy rain May 15 caused severe flooding in Moo 6, 7 and 13 villages in Nong Plalai.
