Fire ranged through a Banglamung plumbing-supply shop, causing about a million baht in damage, but no injuries.
About 30 firefighters and 10 trucks needed about 20 minutes to snuff out the flames at Thai Water Systems on Sukhumvit Soi 79 shop in Moo 13 village Nov. 10.
Owner Maythaphorn Seaitang, 29, said she was away from the shop and returned to find the fire burning on the mezzanine level. She said she was puzzled how the blaze could have started as the area had no electrical wiring and was used for storing equipment, including welding gear, an electrical generators and other machinery. No fuel was stored in the area and nothing flammable.
The fire caused about a million baht damage to the equipment, she said.
The cause of the fire is being investigated.
