Shortly after midnight on the 15th of September police were informed that a fifteen year old girl had been sexually assaulted at a house in Naklua.
The rapist 19 year old Rungruang Khukrathok had been living in the same house as the girl had fled the scene and was hiding in the woods not far from the house.
The distraught girl’s family tell the police what happened.
The girl’s grandmother stated that she had come home to find the girl crying and then Rungruang ran out of the house, the girls father told police that he thought Rungruang had turned over a new leaf after recently being released from prison for drugs.
Police and neighbors used flashlights to search the woods for an hour but were unable to find the rapist and in the meantime the girl was taken to the Banglamung Hospital for a thorough physical checkup.
