The mother of a World Kickboxing Network welterweight champ was robbed at gunpoint in Pattaya.

Pranee Klinmee (center) tells police about her ordeal as victim of an armed robbery earlier that evening.

Pranee Klinmee, 48, told police April 24 that two small-framed youths on a motorbike pulled a gun on her on Boonsamphan Soi 14 as she returned from selling food. They took 19,000 baht and her mobile phone.

Police checked suspected escape routes, but were unable to find the thieves.

Pranee is the mother of Som “Sudsakorn Sor” Klinmee, one of Pattaya’s best-known Muay Thai boxers. He won the WKN’s welterweight title in 2015.
