Accompanied by 10 officers, Director of the DSI’s Bureau of Intellectual Property Crime Pol Lt Col Chinnachot Daengsurisri yesterday raided a traditional Thai massage parlor in Pratunam Market, which has been known to have been selling knock-off brand name products. Upon searching, they found ten million baht worth of counterfeit items, including bags, clothes, and watches, stored in the back room. The officers arrested employees of the parlor and charged them with patent infringement.
After the arrest, Pol Lt Col Chinnachot said the police had been tracking down the culprits for over 4 months. However, those arrested were just employees and the police are now in pursuit of the store owner.
