DIY learning program highlighted at School No. 5

Pattaya School No. 5 held a meeting with the Basic Education Commission of Thailand to promote the success of the “do it yourself” learning and teaching programs in schools.

Pattaya City Council President Farooq Wongborisuthi, who also heads the Basic Education Commission, chaired the Jan. 5 meeting with fellow Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai.

School Principal Montri Kanchanapak explained how the school works hard to develop literacy in students unable to read or write. The school’s activities are built on an Education Office project to adjust learning and teaching periods and creating activities during morning hours to devote more time for reading and writing.

Students attending the meeting were awarded medals for a DIY competition.
