During the meeting, both sides exchanged opinions on several issues, including by-elections, the opposition’s role in the future, and economic and social reformations. Meanwhile, Ms Suu Kyi has expressed her worries over Thailand’s reconciliation plans, citing she does not want to see any domestic conflict.
BANGKOK, 20 February 2012 - Democrat Party Leader Abhisit Vejjajiva who recently met with Myanmar’s National League for Democracy (NLD) Leader Aung San Suu Kyi has reiterated that Thailand is supportive of democracy in Myanmar.
