Chonburi rotates bureaucratic positions

Following the recent change in provincial leadership, Chonburi’s new governor Oct. 26 oversaw the routine rotation of bureaucrats in the province.

Among the offices getting new leadership are the Pattaya Special Prison, Chonburi Election Committee and Chonburi Vocational College.

The Pattaya Prison will be overseen by Somchai Wimandsak, former warden of Chantaburi Prison. Santipol Patsa-Nguan, former director of the Rayong Election Committee, will take up similar duties for the Chonburi committee. And Juree Thapwong, the ex-director of the Vocational College of Science and Technology in Panthong, took the promotion to take over the Chonburi College.

Other changes in positions include:

* Col. Kuldet Chanthakat, former recruiting officer for the Samut Sakhon local militia, takes over similar duties for the Chonburi provincial guard.

* Chutiwat Sornthong, former head of administration for the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Natural Resources and the Environment, becomes director of Natural Resources and the Environment in Chonburi.

* Mana Liangthong, a former Krabi bureaucrat, takes over as head of Office of the Technical Promotion 3.

* Watchaaree Ruangjirakachon, an Udon Thani government auditor, will be chief of the Cooperative Auditing Office.
