A bungalow staffer was injured when he was hit by a stray bullet fired into the air to celebrate this month’s lunar eclipse.

Ekawat Wongcharoen, 41, suffered a bloody wound to the thigh in the Dec. 10 accident. He and a co-worker at the Honeymoon Inn Bungalow were sitting in the back of a pickup watching the last minutes of the total eclipse when a mystery bullet fell from the sky, narrowing missing his manly parts. He was taken to Banglamung Hospital for treatment.

Police assume the bullet was fired nearby by a careless observer of the lunar sky-show, forgetting that what goes up eventually comes down. In the case of bullets, it can be deadly and police vowed to track down and prosecute the shooter.
