Bodies of Thai victims in Lao plane crash found

BANGKOK, 21 October 2013 The Thai consulate in the Lao People’s Democratic Republic has revealed a recent progress in the search for the bodies in the Lao Airlines crash in the Mekong River. 

So far, 41 have been found, including 2 identified as Thai nationals: Mr. Kaneung Chadkasemchai and Mr. Pakawat Athirattanachai.

Laotian officials will first approve and confirm the identification of the victims before handing them over to the Thai officials. The bodies will later be brought to Sappasit Prasong Hospital in Ubon Ratchathani for further examination.
