According to Bangkok Governor M.R. Sukhumbhand Paribatra, road signs blocking pavements, bike lanes, and bus stations, have now been taken down. He has ordered agencies in charge, especially the BMA local offices, to comb their areas for these signs and, if they find any, take them down immediately; as they cause inconvenience to commuters and pedestrians alike. In addition, the governor has ordered officers to install more lights in bus station areas and on flyovers.
As for the BMA's flood prevention and water management, the governor said the agency has been dredging canals and cleaning up sewers in preparation for future flooding. Given there will be more rain during September and October, the governor has ordered officials to make sure that the dredging operation is completed before the end of this month.
