BANGKOK, 6 January 2014 The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has prepared measures to deal with anti-government protesters' "Shutdown Bangkok" operation. The BMA said it might set up mobile offices to provide service for the people in case of emergency.

Advisor to Bangkok Governor Wasant Meewong said the BMA's staff, medical personnel and hospitals near demonstration areas would be on standby during the "Shutdown Bangkok" operation this 13 January. The advisor also assured that CCTVs cameras in the areas would work properly during the demonstrations.

The BMA is considering the setting up of service centers outside its headquarters to facilitate the people who are in need of urgent service.
