ABAC Poll: Korn most creditable in debate

BANGKOK, 19 March 2011 (NNT) – Thai people deem the performance of Finance Minister Korn Chatikavanij during the no-confidence debate the most creditable compared with other grilled ministers, according to a recent survey by the Assumption University Research Center (ABAC Poll). 

ABAC Poll Director Dr Noppadon Kannikar reported the survey result pertaining to public opinions about creditability of information provided by each cabinet member in the censure debate. The study was conducted with 1,035 respondents in 17 provinces on 17 March 2011.

The poll showed that Finance Minister Korn gained the highest level of confidence from the respondents at 38.8%, followed by Deputy Agriculture and Cooperatives Minister Supachai Phosu at 34.3% and Foreign Minister Kasit Piromya at 30.5%.

Meanwhile, Interior Minister Chavarat Charnvirakul, Deputy Prime Minister overseeing Security Affairs Suthep Thaugsuban, Commerce Minister Pornthiva Nakasai and Transport Minister Sopon Zarum gained only 26.3%, 26.2%, 25.8%, and 20.9% respectively in support from the respondents.
