Sattahip authorities seized nearly 1,000 methamphetamine tablets in a sting operation in Samae San.
Chaiyut Mokasak, 46, was captured in his home Dec. 27 with 892 ya ba tablets, 4.9 grams of crystal methamphetamine and 3,000 baht in marked bills.
The arrest came after a tip from an incarcerated drug user that he’d purchased speed from Chaiyut. Officers then set up an undercover buy from the suspect’s house.
Chaiyut denied the charges, but police said they had enough evidence to charge him with trafficking Class 1 narcotics.
